North Troup County, Heard County, and the southern side of Carroll County.
I am a Democrat because I believe government should work for everyday people, not corporations or wealthy / out of state interests.
I grew up conservative, and I still live a personally conservative life. I do not believe politicians should be regulating people's private lives or using the power of government to force one person's beliefs on another.
I believe in helping our neighbors, feeding the hungry, supporting public schools, and making sure rural communities are not left behind.
I believe faith should guide how we treat people, not how we write laws.
At the end of the day, I am a Democrat because I care more about people than sowing division or participating in culture wars.
I want to live in a thriving, vibrant Georgia where everyone gets a fair shot, no matter their zip code, bank account balance, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or how many acres they own.
Heck yeah, I’m a liberal!
If by “liberal” you mean believing in and promoting LIBERTY.
I want freedom for all people to live their lives without being harassed, judged, or controlled by the government.
I’m for personal freedom, privacy, and letting folks make their own choices as long as they aren’t hurting anyone or infringing on the rights of others.
I served 20 years in uniform defending people’s rights and freedoms.
If that’s being liberal, then sure, I’ll wear it proudly.
To me, liberal means liberty, simple as that!
Data centers and big industry can bring investment, but they should not be forced into communities that don’t want them or built in ways that strain local infrastructure.
I support responsible development that benefits our towns, not projects that raise utility rates, drain our power grid, or put heavy trucks on roads that taxpayers end up paying to repair.
Before any major industrial / commercial enterprise comes into a rural county, we need transparency, strong local input, fair tax structures, and guarantees that the project will not drive up electricity costs or damage our quality of life. Large commercial / industrial / data center type enterprises should support our communities, not exploit them.
Yes, I support law enforcement!
The men and women who serve our communities deserve respect, proper training, good leadership, fair pay, and the resources they need to do their jobs safely.
Supporting law enforcement also means making sure we have accountability, professional standards, and systems that protect both officers and the public.
Good officers want that too.
Strong communities rely on good policing, and good policing relies on trust. I believe in supporting the people who serve while also making sure the system works fairly for everyone.
I also strongly believe that each police department should have some sort of behavioral health crisis team available to support them in the field when they encounter members of the public who may be experiencing a mental health emergency.
Absolutely! Small businesses are the backbone of rural Georgia.
My father has been a small business owner / entrepreneur in Georgia his entire life.
I spent a significant part of my childhood in his shop watching him work tirelessly and fighting to stay afloat in the ebbs and flows of our economy.
I have seen first hand how government over reach and red tape can negatively impact a small business owner's ability to make a living or just survive to open the doors the next day.
Small business owners are the folks who open their doors every morning, hire local people, keep money circulating in the community, and give our towns their identity.
Supporting small business means making sure they aren’t getting crushed by red tape, unfair competition, or the influence of giant corporations that can buy lawmakers and write the rules in their favor.
My priority is the local shops, farms, trades, and entrepreneurs that make Georgia feel like home.
Every child in Georgia deserves a world-class education, no matter their ZIP code or family income. Strong public schools are the backbone of our communities, and supporting them is one of my top priorities.
I will fight for:
Rural districts face unique challenges, smaller tax bases, long bus routes, limited staff, and outdated facilities. I will work to ensure our schools get the resources they need to educate, support, and inspire every student.
Georgia can’t afford to lose talented educators. I support competitive pay, rural retention incentives, and the resources teachers need in their classrooms so they can focus on teaching, not burnout.
Hungry, malnourished kids can’t be expected to focus, learn and excel. I will support expanded school meal programs, summer nutrition programs, and partnerships that make sure every child has access to healthy food year-round.
In rural Georgia, the road to school matters just as much as the classroom. Reliable internet, good buses, safe roads, and updated school facilities are essential for student success.
Our schools need more than classrooms, they need caring adults who can meet the full needs of our students. I support increased funding for counselors, school nurses, and special education services.
Rural communities rarely benefit from private voucher programs. I oppose policies that siphon funds away from public schools and leave rural districts with fewer resources and fewer options.
Look, government should be boring. It’s serious work for serious people, and we should stay focused on real problems, not drama or distractions.
I’m not running for office to stir up drama, chase social media attention, or participate in some political soap opera.
I’m running because we have real problems that affect real people, and I want to get to work on solutions that help everyday folks. My focus is on schools, jobs, roads, healthcare, and keeping our communities strong.
